Camp Parsons' central location provides a great starting point to access a number of nearby attractions.

Sarah Terry Trail

The Sarah Terry Walking Trail encompasses the entire area of Wilck’s Lake. The walking trail begins at the Wilck’s Lake boat ramp parking lot near the Skateboard Park, then continues onto the sidewalk on West Third at the Creative Learning Center of Farmville, ending back at the boat ramp parking lot. The total length of the trail is 1.6 miles. Parking and portable restrooms are available at Wilck’s Lake Park.

Totier Creek Park

This 209-acre park (69 water acres) offers fishing and hiking opportunities in the Scottsville area. Totier Creek is stocked with sunfish, channel catfish, and largemouth bass.

Twin Lakes State Park

In the heart of central Virginia, this 548-acre, historic park offers many cultural, environmental and recreational activities. Overnight accommodations include a 33-site campground and 11 climate-controlled cabins. Visitors enjoy swimming, fishing, hiking, boating and lakeside picnicking. The Cedar Crest Conference Center on Prince Edward Lake is available for weddings, family gatherings, retreats and business meetings.

Wilck's Lake

Wilck’s Lake is a 150-acre natural area, including a 55-acre lake, managed and owned by the Town of Farmville. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the two-mile hiking/walking trail that circumnavigates the lake and provides abundant opportunities for birding and wildlife watching.
